Estoc sword, 14th-15th century.
This estoc is based on the sword of Henry Vth (1387-1422).
This type of swords, with a blade with a quadrangular section, develops from the 14th century, as an answer to the new types of plate armors of the Late Middle Ages.
The estoc has a triangular blade, with very pronounced tip: fit to deliver thrusts which could penetrate between the plates of the armors.
Battle-ready.
